I’ve been working on Valentine’s Day cards to sell on Etsy and found I was in need of some extra tools to finish things the way I wanted. I searched high and low and couldn’t find a tutorial or freebie on how to make scalloped lace, so I figured it out with a little help from this “How to make a vector pattern in Illustrator CS3” tutorial. [Installing the brushes: Open the eps file. Select one of the patterns and drag it to your brushes palette. When the box pops up, if the title isn't already filled in for you, type in "Scalloped Lace" and then choose "approximate path". Make sure you save it as a pattern brush.]
